The club's officers, elected at the 2017 AGM, are:

Chairman and Acting Treasurer:
Nick Alen
Jo Farrell
Publicity Officer: Jenny Arnold
Membership Secretary:
Gill White
Ticket Secretary: Lorraine Buckley

They form the Management Committee.

After a lot of work by the committee some time ago in making a detailed application and resubmission to the Charities Commission, the commission did not feel that our club's activities were charitable. This was a disappointment but it did mean that we could revert to a simpler club structure, a smaller committee and no trustees. A new constitution was drawn up. It was reviewed at the 2014 AGM under items 10 and 11 of the agenda. To see the revised document click Constitution

The 2018 Annual General Meeting will be held at the West Charleton Village Hall on 14th March.

The agenda for the 2018 meeting is: Agenda 2018

The Club operates in the South Hams area of South Devon. The following statement of objectives was approved at the  Annual General Meeting in 2010:

"The objects of the Club shall be as follows:

2.1 To promote and support the performing arts, in particular theatre, music and dance at a professional and local, amateur level to the South Hams population and their visitors

2.2 To provide convenient and safe access to the performing arts

2.3 To attend theatres and concert halls within an easy coach journey's distance of the club's Kingsbridge base"

We currently have around 300 members and offer a warm welcome to newcomers, see Joining below.

The non-profit-making Club, which was formed in 1948 and is operated by volunteers, provides the opportunity for members to attend theatres and concert halls in the nearby cities of Plymouth and Exeter and the area of Torbay. We travel by coach from the bus station on the quay in Kingsbridge and collect additional members from villages en route. This saves the stress of driving to and parking in busy centres and provides a sociable environment for the trip. All bookings are made through the club's ticket secretary.

At present our main destinations are:

Plymouth: Theatre Royal (the Lyric Theatre and the Drum Theatre)
Exeter: the Great Hall and the Northcott Theatre at the University
Torquay: the Princess Theatre
